Battlebots!
It was only after everything was said and done that I !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! about all the crap going on behind the scenes, but it was still a great show at the time.
I'd love to have built one myself, but the closest I've gotten so far are the Deadblow and Backlash !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! from Jakks Pacific.

(Edit: Inline images are Kinja'ing out on me. Not that I'm surprised)
So, anyone else remember this?

Same here. I loved the different engineering approach each builder took.
I wasn't really a fan of the heavyweight class. Too complicated, and I feel like they were there for show.

I liked some of the heavies and superheavies ( Blendo , Toro , Diesector ) but yeah, there were some that were just too odd (I'm looking at you Setrakian !).

First couple of seasons were cool, but then it seemed to really jump the shark as the design all became similar and the hosts tried to play up the "drama".
On a sidenote any detailed writeup on Junkyard wars? I used to love that show as well before TLC started doing crack.

I don't think I could do much more than what's on the Wiki , but yeah, Scrapheap Challenge/Junkyard Wars was another favorite. The nice thing is, JW is available on DVD.
